The 46% coffee-ground content does not reduce the physical performance of the finished fabric — it replaces a portion of the synthetic component with a bio-sourced one.

The finished fabric is not certified biodegradable under any standard testing protocol. The accurate and defensible claim is “contains 46% bio-based content from upcycled coffee grounds” or “bio-based fabric.” This is a stronger commercial claim than “biodegradable” because it is specific, verifiable, and resistant to greenwashing challenge.
