In this configuration, cards in the shielded compartment are protected while the phone in the main compartment retains full NFC functionality. If a fully shielded phone compartment is specified (where the phone itself is in the RFID-blocked zone), then NFC on the phone will be blocked while inside the bag. We recommend the partial-shield configuration (cards only) for most phone bag briefs — it protects the relevant items without compromising the phone’s functionality.
