Canvas weight is measured in ounces per square yard (oz) — the higher the number, the heavier and more structural the fabric. Construction type (plain weave, duck canvas, twill canvas) determines surface texture, stiffness, and drape. The right specification depends on the product’s end use, durability requirement, and aesthetic target.

Waxed canvas is significantly more durable over time. Synthetic coatings degrade and delaminate; waxed canvas can be re-waxed to restore water resistance indefinitely. For lifetime-purchase positioning, waxed canvas supports that claim.
Standard MOQ is 300–500 units per style. For large-volume promotional programmes (5,000+ units), volume pricing applies. Waxed canvas MOQ may be slightly higher due to minimum fabric treatment quantities.
Yes. Recycled cotton canvas is available and a GRS Transaction Certificate can be issued for qualifying recycled cotton orders.
Screen printing on canvas produces a softer-edged, warmer print with a characteristic handmade quality. Colours are slightly less vivid than on polyester but have more depth and warmth — a feature for food, lifestyle, and natural products brands.
Yes. Discharge printing — which removes the canvas’s own dye colour to create the print, rather than adding ink on top — is available on pigment-dyed canvas constructions at Kingsons. The technique produces a particularly clean, vintage-feeling result because the print is literally the absence of colour rather than a layer of it. It works most effectively on darker-dyed canvas bases (navy, black, olive, forest green) where the undyed natural canvas colour provides a warm contrast tone. Not available on natural (undyed) canvas. Advise your account manager if discharge printing is the target technique.
